ALA Great Websites for Kids is an excellent website with sites organized by category in virtually every school subject! It's great for homework, research, reference, or just reading up on your favorite topics.
Encyclopedia Britannica Online (a part of DISCUS--South Carolina's Virtual Library) is a wonderful place to begin researching just about any topic.
