While you're wondering and worrying about what to buy friends and family for Christmas, remember to give yourself a present - A VISIT TO THE LIBRARY!  Pick up something special just for you.  It seems like there are different books on the New Book Shelves daily and of course your old favorites should still be on the shelves in the back part of the library.

Our overall theme for all our libraries this month is  'TIS THE SEASON TO BE READING!  So we are promoting all ages read, read, read in December.  The younger library users will earn prizes for every 10 books they devour.  We are working with the local schools in this promotion.  But we didn't forget about the young adults and the not-so-young ones.  There's a special drawing for a prize for someone who records each book they read this month.  All you have to do is read and fill out a little slip for the drawing.

When you visit, please just roam around and see the changes that are taking place.  From freeing up space to make room for updated resources in adult nonfiction and reference areas to completely relocating the Young Adult Collection, your library is changing to serve you better.  Let us know what you think.

Here are some of the great titles we'll be adding to the shelves as they arrive.  Hope you see one or two you want to add to your reading list.
