The board meets at six o’ clock p.m., on the fourth Tuesday of each month, excepting December.The meetings alternate between the Marion and Mullins Libraries, with the May meeting in Nichols each year.The meetings are open to the public, but anyone wishing to address the board must submit a request to the board chair or the library director one week in advance of the meeting. The Marion County Library Board of Trustees conducted their annual meeting during the regularly scheduled board meeting on January 25, 2011.Officers for 2011 were elected: H. Paul Dove, Jr. will serve as Chair of the board, Randleson A. Floyd as Vice Chair, Viola D. Edwards as Treasurer, and Esther W. Rogers as Secretary.
Also serving are board members Arnetha Moody Davis, Trophelia R. Hall, and Betty Tindall.
